Abstract
"Books & the Arts" piece on the phenomenal growth of the Colby College Museum of Art in Waterville under the direction of Hugh J. Gourley III, who has served as the museum's director for 33 of its 40 years. With special focus on the museum's new Lunder Wing, which was designed by Los Angeles architect Frederick Fisher, and made possible by a $1 million challenge grant from Peter and Paula Lunder of Waterville and Dexter Shoe.
