Abstract
"Books & the Arts" piece celebrating five decades of the Beloit Poetry Journal, which Marion Stocking, now in her late 70s, edits out of her home in Lamoine. Stocking's husband David was on the founding board of the journal in the early 1950s, while teaching at Beloit College in Wisconsin. The journal receives submissions from all over the world and has a reputation for publishing rising poets who go on to wider recognition.
