Abstract

Residents of Hudspeth County, Texas, already receive 100 tons a week of sewage sludge from New York City, and are now facing the prospect of receiving low-level nuclear waste from Maine and Vermont. They welcome the low-level waste with about as much enthusiasm as did the residents of the areas in Maine which were considered as dump sites. Details, related article.
