Abstract
"News & Issues" piece on the Eagles Club in Biddeford. The Maine State Police suspended the club's games-of-chance licenses for six months as a result of a raid last June during which police seized five machines and $14,000 in cash. In response, the club intends to launch its own petition drive to legalize video gambling, according to club president David Gobeil, who said it's time to stop pretending the machines are used for anything but profit-making.
