Abstract
One in a collection of opinions on the last 25 years in Maine. Evan Richert, co-owner of Market Decisions of South Portland, fears that Maine is losing its uniqueness and is in danger of becoming just like any other place in the nation. Richert is a proponent of more compact development, and believes that much of the urban sprawl in the state is due to transportation policies designed to accommodate increased automobile traffic.
