Abstract

Dr. Richard Homola, a mycologist at the University of Maine at Orono, was surprised to discover two rare mushrooms from the genus psilocybe growing in the Ellsworth area. Dr. Homola, a mushroom expert who was called to the scene after an Ellsworth youth who had been eating the mushrooms disappeared, said he had never seen the psychedelic mushrooms in Maine before.
