Abstract
"Books & the Arts" piece on "If Wishes Were Horses, Beggars Would Ride," an extravagant multimedia performance project conceived and directed by New York choreographers Sara Pearson and Patrik Widrig. The performance, which is being presented at the Great Hall of the Portland Museum of Art through August 19, was commissioned by the Bates Dance Festival in cooperation with the Portland Museum of Art and the OnSite Performance Network, with a matching grant from the Maine Humanities Council and the Maine Arts Commission through the New Century Community Program.
