Abstract
"News & Issues" piece on a project proposed by MBNA to construct a facility on Ducktrap Mountain that would accommodate students evacuated from Lincolnville Central School six weeks ago because of poor air quality. The kindergarten through eighth-grade students will inhabit the facility for two to three years. Chip Messick, senior vice president of MBNA in Maine, said no specific use for the facility is envisioned beyond that. But for Ron Huber, director of the Coastal Waters Project, it's just too convenient that MBNA chose further development on Ducktrap as a way to assist the school when they could build a school for Lincolnville in Lincolnville. MBNA's property on Ducktrap Mountain is located in Northport.
