Abstract

A report released by the U.S. Forest Service says the White Mountain National Forest is in good shape, although air quality remains a problem and recreational use of the forest is increasing during all four seasons. The report indicates that forest clear-cutting has decreased by about 50 percent when compared to 1986 levels.
