Abstract
When Bath merchant Bill King heard that Wal-Mart was going to locate in Brunswick, he and Jayne Palmer founded the Bath Business Association to coordinate an effort to do special promotions, coordinated advertising and fundraising. The campaign has been so successful that Inc magazine and The Wall Street Journal have done stories on it, and King and Palmer are now in demand as consultants. Related article.
