Abstract
"News & Issues" piece on Title II of the Social Security Act, which prohibits so-called "double dipping" by reducing Social Security benefits by about two-thirds to anyone who also collects a public pension, effectively preventing state workers from collecting both a public pension and full Social Security benefits. The Legislature's Labor Committee plans to study the effects of the pension offset, even though any substantive reform must take place in Washington.
