Abstract
"News" piece on the $75 million Part 2 budget proposed by the Legislature's Appropriations Committee, and where the funds will come from. Included in the proposal were two new taxes, a 20-cent increase in the state's cigarette tax, to 94 cents, and a 2 percent increase on food served at restaurants without liquor licenses.
