Abstract
"News" piece on a proposal by the Bureau of Parks and Lands that would almost double the number of snowmobile and ice-shack routes providing access to the Allagash wilderness waterway. The plan calls for 26 such routes, including 14 currently authorized and 12 new or revised routes, plus four ice-shack routes. The Natural Resources Council of Maine and Allagash Advisory Council member Sheila Bennett oppose the plan.
