Abstract
"News" piece on Maine Ethics Commission members who have publicly indicated their disgust at recent changes in Maine's landmark Clean Elections law. Some say changes to the way commissioners are appointed threaten the body's ability to carry out its duties. The amendment, sponsored by Sen. Chandler Woodcock, R-Farmington, changes the selections of members from gubernatorial appointment with Senate confirmation to legislative nomination with the governor's approval.
