Abstract

"Eco News" piece on the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife's miscalculated attempt to establish and maintain a population of 23,000 bears statewide. In actuality, last year's harvest of nearly 4,000 bears is proof that the herd has increased beyond that number.
