Abstract
"News" piece on municipal censorship of an alleged conspiracy-mongering television show on Biddeford's public access channel. The Maine Civil Liberties Union (MCLU) says the Biddeford City Council abused its authority last week in upholding censorship without any attempt to determine what was potentially libelous about the show and the filing of a lawsuit is all but certain once the MCLU's legal panel meets later this month. The shows producers, Phil Castora and Dot Lafortune, are locally famous for their decade-long vendetta against certain banks, politicians, prosecutors and judges, following a disputed bank foreclosure.
