Abstract
"News" piece on predictions concerning the coming winter. According to the Farmers Almanac and Ken Allen, who writes Maine Times' "Nature Watch" column, we'll get lots of snow this winter, perhaps two or three storms a month, but it won't be as cold as last year. And the National Weather Services says global warming impacts could result in 10- to 20-foot storm surges along Maine's shoreline.
