Abstract

Architect Randolph Croxton, whose Croxton Collaborative designed the New York headquarters of both the Natural Resources Defense Council and the National Audubon Society, is collaborating with architects Van Dam & Renner on transforming the Porteous Mitchell & Braun building on Portland's Congress Street into the new home of the Maine College of Art. The $8.3 million renovation will result in 109,000 square feet of space dedicated to the art school and two large retail spaces to be rented out at street level. Details.
