Abstract
"News" piece on Buddy Brown, a vegetable farmer in Nobleboro who lost a barn to a fire ignited by a lightning bolt. Brown says the barn was insured for $100,000, but Farm Family Insurance refutes this, placing a value on it of only $19,000. The company has reimbursed Brown for $25,000 in lost equipment but has provided no compensation for the structure, Brown said. Brown has since lodged a complaint with the Bureau of Insurance in Augusta.
