Abstract

State Assistant Attorney General Wayne Moss is concerned that if the revenues from a proposed casino in Calais don't meet expectations it may cost the state more to police the casino than the casino generates in excise taxes for the state. The latest negotiations between the state and the Passamaquoddy tribe has resulted in a proposal that the Maine State Police develop and enforce casino operating regulations. Details.
