Abstract
Lance D. Rogers of Connecticut has sold virtually all his interest in the Webber timberland holdings to H. C. Haynes, Maine's largest wood contractor and broker. Rogers' interest represents around 36,000 acres of the family's holdings, which totals 305,664 acres. The Webber family holdings are spread out over more than 60 tracts in the northern and western parts of the state. Prentiss & Carlisle of Bangor, the land management firm overseeing Webber lands, is negotiating with the remaining Webber heirs and H. C. Haynes to consolidate Haynes' holdings. Details.
