Abstract

Lobsterman Randall Bennett has proposed building a fish pier and storage building on the tip of Flying Point in Freeport, which has raised opposition among residents of the area. Bennett is one of around 20 lobstermen confined to 2,000 feet of deepwater frontage in South Freeport, and contends the town does not adequately provide for public and commercial access to its 27 miles of waterfront.
