Abstract

Details on this year's awards for excellence of the Maine Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Portland City Hall's Merrill Auditorium earned honors for architect Winton Scott, but jurors could not ignore a hideous exterior. Other winners were the Maine Audubon Environmental Education Center in Falmouth, the Camden Public Library and the Brooklin residence of Ed and Carla Rosenzweig.
