Abstract

Details on the the Maine Arts Commission's Arts in the Capitol program. The program has been responsible for art exhibits in the Blaine House, musicians performing at official Blaine House dinners, and concerts, poetry readings, storytelling and exhibitions in the State House's Hall of Flags. The commission has scheduled 17 exhibitions this year, working with 14 museums, galleries and artist associations. Most of the program's expenses are paid by Gov. King and his wife, Mary Herman.
