Abstract

Campowners in the Jackman area are voicing opposition to the practice of spreading paper mill sludge on forestland in the Upper Kennebec River watershed. Spreading is allowed only once in an area, with the quantity limited to 18 tons per acre. S.D. Warren last year spread sludge on 800 acres of land. Details.
