Abstract

Peoples Heritage Bank on June 23 evicted Laura MacLeod from the property in Hope where her house and business, Donnybrook Kennel, were located. The bank later bought the property at auction. The action is the most recent in a five-year battle of foreclosures, auctions, eviction notices and legal manuevers, and has left MacLeod living in an apartment in Waldoboro. After MacLeod was removed from the property, 12 Irish terriers were left in the kennels, uncared for, for nine days. Details.
