Abstract

H.C. Haynes Inc. of Winn and Shay Bros. of Danforth, both major Washington County logging contractors, have signed a settlement with the state Land Use Regulation Commission after admitting to violating state forest practice laws. The two paid civil fines and agreed to repair environmental damage to tributaries leading to Baskahegan Stream in Kossuth Township.
