    Description

    Aerial view of Federal Building construction site and United States Post Office, 125 Forest Avenue, from southwest. Marginal Way, Kennebec Street, at left. Brattle Street, and Lancaster Street, at center. Forest Avenue, and Deering Oaks in foreground.
    The post office building was designed by Portland architects John Calvin Stevens and John Howard Stevens, and built in 1932, replacing the city's post office at 171 Middle Street (photo at this link).
