Description
Full exterior view of Etz Chaim Synagogue, 267 Congress Street (at India Street), from southeast. Houses along Smith Street, at right. The synagogue opened at this location on 4 June 1922. Improvements to the grounds near the building, and a renovated entrance were dedicated at the time of this photograph in 1941.
In 1941, Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year) was on 22 September.
