Description
Painting the exterior of the First Church of the Nazarene, 1090 Congress Street (east of Libby's Corner), viewed from north.
Left to right: Allan R. Glassford, Frank Yerxa, Samuel Austin, Reverend Joshua Wagner (the church's pastor), Albion B. Humphrey, Samuel Austin Jr., George Austin (on ladder).
The church was located on the southwest corner of Congress Street and Basin Street, one block west of Huntress Street, in the Libby's Corner area. In 1948, the congregation relocated to a larger church building at 475 Brighton Avenue.
In 1954, the old church building was home to the West End Gospel Tabernacle church.
