Description
Full exterior view of the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 166 State Street, from north. A community of the Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood have lived in the cloistered convent on State Street from 1934 through 2018.
While the convent originally housed 14 nuns, living in silence and prayer away from the world, the chapel was open daily for the public to visit as a place of contemplative prayer, daily Mass, and as a form of the Sisters' ministry.
