    The storefront is located in Mechanics Hall. Fotoshops grew out of Bicknell's Photo Shops (Bicknell Photo Service), which operated stores and photographic developing labs at 14 Preble Street and at 20-24 Free Street, before moving to 71 U.S. Route 1 in Scarborough becoming exclusively a commercial photofinishing plant.

    Fotoshops opened in April 1974, and closed in 2009.
