    Description

    Full exterior view of Mercy Hospital, 144 State Street, from east. The hospital was built in 1942, expanding the services of Queen's Hospital which had been created during the 1918 influenza pandemic, headquartered at the southeast corner of Deering Street and State Street (218 State Street). The hospital was founded by the Sisters of Mercy.
