Description
Full exterior view of the Fraternity House building, 52 Center Street, from northeast. The building was built in 1869, as the Thomas Gill House. The building became the home of the Fraternity House (see this link for a 1941 photo), which sponsored a variety of charitable community organizations and meetings. After 1967, the building was vacated, and later became the Erebus Shop. The building was popularly known in the 1970s as the "Erebus Building." In the early 1980s, the building was home to the Tijger Trading Company shop.
