Description
Views of Mother of the Good Shepherd Monastery, 235 Pleasant Avenue, Peaks Island. The Augustinian monastery was located in the former Saint Joseph by the Sea Convent (Sisters of Notre-Dame de Namur). [A post card view of the building's exterior can be seen at this link.]
Photo at right shows Fr. Seamus Kuebler, O.A.S., with his guide dog Brendan.
The Brothers operated a guest house, a church accessible to the public, and produced beer called "Two Monks Brew."
