Description
Views of Gilbert's Chowder House, 92 Commercial Street (Custom House Wharf).
The popular seafood diner opened in September 1993, in the former Lundgren's Cash Market storefront, renovated by brothers Jim Gilbert and Ed Gilbert. The building was also previously the entrance to Casco Bay Lines ferry terminal (see photo from 1980 at this link).
