    Description

    Exterior views of The Harris Company, 188 Commercial Street (southeast corner of Commercial Street and Central Wharf).
    The company began business in 1921, with the adjoining (202 Commercial Street) Harris Oil Company beginning in 1938.
    The Harris Company specialized in marine industrial supplies, pumps, water systems, hardware, ropes, and marine electronic services.
    At the time of this photograph, the Central Wharf and Harris Company properties had been purchased by Liberty Group.
