Description
Views of the Longfellow Café, 675 Congress Street, at the northeast corner of Congress Street and State Street (Longfellow Square), in the Margaret Reeves-Frederic H. Gerrish House. Rita Doukas purchased the building in 1980 (previously the Patrinelis Restaurant), continuing a family restaurant that had been several doors east (671 Congress Street), owned by her father Bill Panagakos. The Longfellow Café served Greek specialties, along with popular American diner fare.
