Description
Full exterior view of the Mill End Shop, 639 Congress Street, from southeast. The shop specialized in draperies, slipcovers, upholstery, and fabrics for interior design. The owners, Harold and Florence Halpert, lived a block immediately north of the store, on Deering Street. At left is the Columbia Hotel (645 Congress Street), and a Cushman's Bakery store (637 Congress Street) at right.
