    Description

    Full exterior view of building at 103-107 Exchange Street, from west. Federal Street at left. Exchange Street at right. The building was reconstructed in 1866 (after the Great Fire of 1866), known as the Charles Q. Clapp Block. Originally, the building was the Printers' Exchange, and housed the Eastern Argus and the Portland Daily Press- among other newspapers. In 1965 the building housed the Dow and Pinkham Insurance Company.
