Description
Interior view of Olde Port Museum, located on the 2nd floor of 5-27 Custom House Wharf (beginning in July 1972), in the Old Port. Their motto was "Preserving our nautical past and present for the future. The Museum was organized ca.1970, and existed until 1975.
Photo caption: "Miss Anne Peterson, receptionist and volunteer worker at the Olde Port Museum, tries out one of the functional exhibits which Museum officials hope youngsters will find interesting. The Museum, for nearly two years without a home, finally opened today at a 3,000-square-foot loft on Custom House Wharf. relics from a Swedish warship sunk in 1628 highlight the opening exhibit."
