The Gannett Building (also known as the Press Herald Building) in 1948, viewed from east, shortly after the completion of the 390 Congress Street expansion.

The original Press Herald Building (177 Federal Street), in foreground was completed in 1925. The building's extension covered the footprint of the old Davis Block, which housed Gray's Business School.
