Abstract

Wayne Fire Chief Andrew Knight is almost positive that the rooster weathervane stolen from atop the Wayne fire station in 1971 is now in the Shelburne Museum near Burlington, Vermont. Museum Director Brian Alexander is skeptical, and says a preliminary search of museum records indicates that the museum's rooster was acquired in the 1950s. Knight and an official with the Maine State Police plan to visit the museum to examine the rooster. Details.
