Abstract
Wayne Davis, chairman of Trainriders Northeast, says that the proposed Wells transportation center should have no problem covering its annual operating cost by renting out retail space to stores, restaurants and travel agencies. The Maine Turnpike Authority will build the center, where trains and other modes of public transportation will converge, with a $1 million federal grant.
