Abstract

The Maine Turnpike Authority on Thursday voted to build a $1.26 million multi-modal transportation center in Wells, with completion of the facility scheduled for late next year. Paul Violette, executive director of the authority, said that construction of the facility is the logical outcome of the 1991 referendum creating a new state transportation policy. Details.
