Abstract

Gov. John McKernan yesterday announced that the Maine State Police will work overtime at weigh stations and in cruising patrols to target fatigued truckers. McKernan, who said the overtime will be paid out of the governor's contingency fund, created a task force to recommend improvements in state and federal trucking laws.
