Abstract

The state Department of Mental Health yesterday filed a series of objections to Superior Court justice Bruce Chandler's ruling earlier this month finding the state in contempt of the Augusta Mental Health Institute consent decree. Chandler in his ruling said the state has acted as though it did not have to meet its requirements under the decree. In the objections the state claims that its performance in carrying out hte decree has been better than indicated. Details.
