Abstract

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has rejected a Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) plan to truck migrating fish around CMP dams on the Saco River. CMP had initially planned to lower the river level below the Spring Island and Bradbury dams and elevate it at the East and West Channel dams so fish could swim over them but Biddeford and Saco officials and residents expressed opposition.
