Abstract

Both supporters and opponents of the recently-repealed Lewiston anti-discrimination ordinance vowed to continue working on the issue of gay rights, saying that the Lewiston vote was just one battle in the larger struggle over legal protection for homosexuals on a statewide basis. In a related development, several individuals protesting the Lewiston vote were arrested Wednesday afternoon on Lisbon Street. Details.
