Abstract

An account of a trip made by seven female Portland High School students to Washington D.C. that focused on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HCBUs). Details the trip itinerary, including visits to Howard University and Morgan State University and meetings with HCBU alumnae. The students comment on their experiences and the importance of HCBUs and abundant positive role models to young people of color.
